Make Quicktime Go Into Fullscreen On Your External Monitor

Recently, I needed to show a movie full screen on a TV. A problem I ran into though, is that whenever I told the move to go into fullscreen, it always went into fullscreen on my laptop's screen, not the TV. After a bit of googling, this is the solution I found.

Step 1: Open up Quicktime and go to the preferences. (Cmd-,)

Step 2: Go to the "Full Screen" preference tab.

Step 3: If you have a dual screen setup, then you should see something like the image below:

Step 4: To change the screen that your video goes into fullscreen on, simply clic appropriate k on the blue rectangle..

If you plugged in the external monitor (TV) after you opened Quicktime, you may need to relaunch Quicktime to be able to select the fullscreen monitor.
